Misc.

I've been trying to find some things from Milan Fashion Week to post on here but I've literally seen nothing that's taken my fancy...it really makes you realise that London is much more diverse and forward thinking when it comes to fashion.

So, I thought i'd post some things I've found over the past few weeks...

H is for Hunk.

Thanks to the guys at Kigu (www.kigu.co.uk) for sending this over to me.

Bam Bam.

Jeremy Scott loves the Flintstones.

I love him for putting this man in this skimpy onesie.

Skeleton Commissions.

Here are the skeleton costumes I was commissioned to make for vitaminwater....might do a Halloween special and put some of these up for sale nearer to the time...

More leotard success.

Perfect.

Love this amazing 80's high leg onesie Jamie-Lee Curtis is wearing. Look at all that thrusting!

Mark Fast.

Hoo-bloody-rah for Mark Fast.

I stumbled across some images on the Inside Out blog and the first thing I noticed was that some of the models he used were (holy crap) a size 14?!

Wow. (Shame they ruined her shape by putting her in a thong that was too small for her - annoying).

One thing I really hate about the industry is this whole stick-thin, bitchy ideal - which is actually incredibly unsexy. You get all the luvvie media dahlings going 'Oh brilliant! It's just *so* refreshing to see 'real' women on the catwalk' - but you can see it's just a novelty to them because if they actually did support it then they could easily use their powers and influences to make some sort of change to what a model should and shouldn't look like. I'm not saying get completely rid of the long-legged skinnies, just get some more variety in there - tits and bums.

Anyway - back to the clothes. These are some of the best knitwear designs I've seen - amazing shapes created...and hopefully available to us normal people as well as there is an apparent Topshop collaboration.

Hallejulah!

Jeremy Scott has opened a pop-up shop for his Adidas Originals collection...in London!

Y.E.S

Get down to Newburgh Street (just behind Carnaby St) and bag yourself one of his amazing creations - I think I'm going to try and bag myself a leopard print shell suit. Ye!

It opens today (19th) until September 28th.

Fashion Week.

So, London Fashion Week starts today (my front row invites to all the shows must have got lost in the post) - didn't really see anything from NY Fashion week that particularly excited me so am relying on London to bring something interesting to the table.

Saying that, I have found one thing that I like already...it's a bit naughty but I like it.

Africa Africa!

Right, I've had a regroup and am going to bring out a whole African collection, rather than just one or two pieces. This has stemmed from me finally finishing my new African womens all in one and it looks so good that I'm just going to bang out a whole range.
First debut of the African womens one at Bestival.

The patterns are endless and some of them are pretty bright but if you're a fan of M.I.A, Cassette Playa or Jeremy Scott then I think you'll like what I have in store...

Lulu and the Lampshades.

Lulu and the Lampshades are probably the best pop/folk act out there. Not only for their music and eccentric instrument playing but also for the fact that they have amazing dancing lampshade girls in onesies made by moi.

Check it.

Bestival.

The final festival of the summer is looming...Bestival. I've been every year for the past 5 years and it's actually where my love of onesies originated.

A friend of mine had a jellyfish stinger suit which I continued to wear for the next few years at any fancy dress occasion I could..

This then continued on to me making my own skeleton suit (you can never find ones that are tight fitting!) and purchasing a variety of skin-tight all in ones from China called Zentai Suits...they're the ones that everyone is now wearing that has the face covered to get that lovely gimp look.

Because of this, I decided to get myself a new fixation and after seeing an beautiful antique clown costume in a shop window, I set out to make my own style of clown onesies...which I've since been commission to make by vitaminwater and Channel 4.

I've been getting quite a lot of requests to make costume and fancy dress pieces recently - I've just sent 8 people off to Burning Man festival wearing my original basic all in one in a variety of bright colours!

But yes, I'm trying this week to make a few costumes for myself to wear to Bestival that are going to blow all those gimpy one pieces out of the water!

Saying that, if it's going to rain like last year maybe it's a good idea to make some anorack onesies to stop me from drowning in all that mud!
